Gillian Floren is Greenlight’s interim CEO.  Before joining the Greenlight team, Gillian was a journalist, holding positions as reporter, writer, editor and publisher. Most recently, she served for 10 years as editor and then as publisher of Oregon Business magazine.

After receiving her master’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Gillian served as editor of The Independent , a news weekly that won numerous national awards for investigative and local political reporting under her leadership.

Gillian has taught journalism at Duke University’s young writers program; Linfield College; and the University of Asmara, Eritrea, in Northeastern Africa.

She is an American Leadership Forum senior fellow and serves on the boards of the Oregon Council for the Humanities and the Oregon Independent Colleges Foundation. She is an Oregon native, born and raised in Hillsboro, and now lives in Portland with her husband, Greg Swanson.

Shelley Reimer is Greenlight’s vice president for investor relations. Shelley comes to Greenlight with ten years of fundraising and political experience, having worked in the halls of government and on the campaign trail with elected officials and candidates at the local, state and national levels.

Shelley spent a number of years overseeing various aspects of fundraising, including executing direct-mail and telemarketing programs, conducting major donor solicitations and planning events of all kinds, from small, intimate gatherings to massive rallies.

Shelley is a proud Portland native and a University of Oregon Duck, holding a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science. She currently lives in Yamhill County’s beautiful wine country with her husband, Brian.

Paul Reise is Greenlight’s Research Manager. Paul comes to Greenlight from the Midwest, having worked in Economic Development for Chicago’s regional planning agency, conducting research on regional strategies and wrestling with census data, economic forecasts and labor statistics.

Prior to his role in the public sector, Paul worked for a private real estate developer on a wide variety of projects, from loft conversions to entire neighborhood plans.

Paul holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Portland with his wife, Robyn, and their son.
